Fern & Forest Gardens
Over 20 acres of natural rainforest, built gardens, tropical orchards and beautiful paradise.
The award winning gardens where first planted over 2 decades ago and have since grown to include natural stone landscaping, winding paths, water falls and features, edible gardens, exotic trees, tropical fruit orchards and a large number of unique botanical specimens. Heavily inspired by the rainforest and the wet tropics, there are areas of deep shade to protect the plants that thrive in the understory. Large tropical and exotic trees and fragrant plants feature heavily as do colourful flowering plants.
The gardens serve as a sanctuary to bird and animal life and provide a valuable resource for the nursery. Propagation of many plants is done through seed which is grown in the gardens, with hundreds of species currently in production. Other plants are taken from cuttings and divisions, with the gardens being the home to our mother plants. The gardens also produce a vast variety of tropical fruits, nuts vegetables, ethnobotanical plants and cut flowers.
